Ryan had Joe's Valiant there with the new EFI system. It needs lots of tuning to run right. I think it ran 20 seconds?? It sent up smoke signals from a shorted wire on the starting line. Fixed that and he drove it home.

Denny's truck broke a strap on the U-joint and the drive line fell out on the launch. Dug the broken bolt out of the yoke and Dan had a spare set of u-joint straps with him. He was able to drive it home.

Dan's daughter Mandi raced with us for the first time and she did a great job driving the notch back Cuda. Her driving improved so much she broke out by about 1/2 second. in rd two! Great first time out Mandi! :D

I kept mt reputation in tact with a -031 red light in rd one. :D No practice needed I am just that good!!

I feel your pain. I asked Keith about going to the A-500 drive. He didn't believe this is a common enough problem to warrant building a new style converter and pump.

Rick, congratulations!

Nope we got all the racing in. We had 10 racers today and a brand new Rookie in addition to Mandi. Her name is Vossi Calimer (husband Kevin). Racing came down to me and Ken Anderson in the final. I was unable to make the call and Ken had a single for the win. My car spit off the alternator belt in the second time run and tore up that belt and the oil pump belt. Went to the pits and removed the alternator and replaced belts but it had bent some of my brackets. It kicked off again and I called it a day!

Pictures will follow soon.
Points coming a you Rob.

What a great race on Sunday. It was so nice to see everyone and get to make some runs, and finish the race before the sprinkles set in. Got home at 8 PM and unloaded the car. The 'glass 66 Val trunklid survived fine and Rick has his 742 cases (thanks to Frank and Charlie).

I was very happy with the turbo car. Turned the boost down to 8 psi since the water/meth injection quit working. Still ran 13.60 @ 101 MPH and I had some good lights all day with my 2step button. Hiccupped on the 60 ft against Rick and that put me behind a few hundredths. It was fun to watch Rick sloooowly gain on me and just barely pass me at the finish. Well deserved win, Rick!

Congrats to Brian D and Ken for the race wins! Ken's car picked up quite a bit. He should be very proud of 14.70s in a full bodies 68 Dart street car running pump premium!

Cheers everyone,

Lou

Yep 14.60-14.70 is excellent for a Fully Trimmed OE Car on Street Gas. I could get my 69 Dart only to 14.66 At over 3200#

Congrats Ken and Brian D.
