Working with Bogart has been a challenge.
Almost 6 months to get the rear wheels fixed.
But today they are back on.

Not a Haiku .. I'll stick to making stuff out of metal.

It will be fun to see it run on bogart's or anything else!

Hello friend, I knew you would ask!

What was on the car was a Firestone 14.0/32.0-15
It measured 15 inches wide and 32 tall, 100 circumference.
The rims were wrong for the car, too much backspacing and the tire rubbed the ladder bars.

I wanted a 13.0 wide, 31 tall tire, but could not find one.
It doesn't fill the wheel-well like the Firestone but there was no way I could use that big a tire.

So I went with the Hoosier 29.0/12.0-15.
It measures 11.75 wide, 29.5 tall and 94 circumference.

So, if I can run 6K in high gear it should go 113 MPH in the quarter.

I read that, so I figured you were looking at tires.

Thanks Rick, getting there.
Today the seat went back in and the last of the carpet.
I removed the rocker arm assembly and lubed the pushrod cups and roller rockers.
Readjusted valve clearance.
Need to flush the fuel system and the adjust regulator and check for leaks.
Should fire soon.

Here is the first start. https://youtu.be/66qIZizHcu8

Here is what I went though last week:
The engine in the Colt has not run in about 13 years.
Last time I took the Barracuda out to Mason Dixon it got rained out.
Long tow but no runs.
I took it out of the Barracuda, sold the head and packed with grease.
It has been sitting since then.

Spent last week half sick and half working on fuel issues.
My old blue pump could not be regulated, it would peg my 15 PSI gage.
Neither my Redline or Holley regulator would calm it down.
I purchased a Holley Red pump and then could not get that through the Holley regulator.
After checking a bunch of stuff I just bypassed the regulator and then set the float levels.
After crossing my fingers I hit the bump button and no kidding, started right away.
No moving the distributor, no fiddling, she just lit off.
Good oil pressure, tach seemed to be right, everything was go.
Never had an engine in 50 plus years do that.
I have a few things to check over tomorrow and just make sure all the rockers are happy.

I spoke with Holley on the phone, not a lot of help.
They have a rebuild kit for my blue if there is a gooned up spring. (Don't think so).
Their regulator should be able to turn a Blue pump down. (It won't) (He said, send it back).
Red pump should work through their regulator (It won't).
Maybe it is bad. (Don't think so).
But I will send it back anyway.

And don't even get me talking about Summit.
I am glad they are local to me, but, tech service and online ordering need major work.
