This past weekend was the 24 Hours of Lemons race at the National Corvette Museum (NCM) in Bowling Green, KY.
Since we didn’t get ToadRacer fixed in time and I had the leave approved, I went anyway and volunteered to work at the race.
It was really fun to be an integral part of everything. I did gear check on Friday (making sure everyone had the proper helmet, Hans, fire suit, etc.)
On Saturday and Sunday I worked Pit Lane (making sure the teams were being safe as they switched drivers and fueled their vehicles) and Pit Out (checking each driver as they go on track to make sure they are belted in properly and their fire suppression safety pin is pulled out).
Getting to interact with just about every single driver and every car on multiple occasions was really fun.
I love Lemons racing even more now!
