Will This rebuilt tranny work in my 61 Valiant with the pushbuttons??

What's that big knob on the tail end? Is that the mount used in the A100 trucks and vans?

I don't think so. If the 61 trans is the same as the 64-65, then it will not work. The 64-65 have a shorter tail shaft then the one on e-bay. Also the end of the tailshaft housing is too large in diameter. There is suppossed to be a flange on the tail shaft, that goes in a seal and bearing. It does not look like the 64-65 passenger car, seal and bearing will fit the tail housing, so it is possible the flange will not fit either. Hard to tell just from pictures, but it looks like it might be for some kint of truck.
PS. I am not positive,about the fit. I do have a 64 "A" body 904 trans and a unknown year/model cable shifted 904 on the floor. The unknown trans has a long tail shaft/housing, like in the pictures on e-bay, but the diameter is not as large, at the end. It is your decision.
