Well I reinstalled my intake/exhaust manifold on my 3 Valiant, using the Fel-pro gasket.. added antifreeze add the darn thing started leading immediately from two spots. Should I had used sealant on the gasket? Also the shop manual is confusing with regard to Torque vales. "Exhaust manifold Nut - 10 ft lbs, Exhaust pipe Flange nut, 30 ft lbs. Exhaust pipe support clamp bolt 20 ft lbs.

Maybe I over tightened? I just need to know the torque valves for the upper set of nuts (the studs already on the head), and the lower 6 bolts that go under the exhaust runners.

Also, did you install new manifold studs in the head during the install? These studs go into the head's water jacket and need thread sealant.

Thank you very much; Good info that I wasn't aware of.... Should I use regular thread sealer found in Advance auto etc., or is another type sealant preferable for the studs?

any regular thread sealer.

I have also used hardware store brush on pipe dope.
I am sure they are somehow chemically different but I have yet to have any issues.

I don't recommend using bolts. Use studs, butterfly washers, and nuts on the lower mounting also. Those studs should also have sealer on them.

…is why it is very much worth your while to get the good gaskets for the manifolds-to-head and intake-to-exhaust junctions.
What's confusing about this?
Errr…no, the manifolds are held to the head with studs only. There are no bolts involved in that junction. If there are bolts trying to hold the manifolds to your head…somebody's been in there hamfistedly doing it wrong. It's studs (installed in the head with the appropriate thread sealant, which is Loctite 542 or 592) and correct nuts and correct washers you need. One article has already been linked.
