How do you all feel about this bit of bad work on the pump flange. Its at the top of the trans, looks like a bilt was used to push out the pump

Usable?

There is no picture here.

Depends if it is just the pump bushing that is goobered up or if the damage got into the pump rotor housing / bearing support area or not.

I would just get a whole new front pump assembly from A and A transmission in Camby Indiana and be done with the whole thing.

Trying to post image. Its a mark on the trans housing near on the top by a bolt hole where it seems a bolt was used to force the pump out of the trans.

Still ain't coming up.
Sounds like it's the trans case itself not the pump

I have an engine/ trans core place by me I've bought internal trans parts from before. Planetaries, pumps, drums etc.
Near the top/ so not by the fluid port holes where fluid passes from pump to case... I think I know what you're talking about, and approximately where...
There are 2 pump housing holes tapped the next size over what the bolts are that hole the pump in.. meant for a slide hammer to get the pump out. Is this divot you mentioned in line with e pump mount hole?
If the aluminum is displaced or raised from the flat surface I'd dress it down flat the best I could without creating a crater and chase that pump mount hole, put the gasket on the pump and the outer o ring, and send it.

That's exactly where the problem is. Thanks for the advice.
