Great to know about the race details for Sat and Sun, Rick. I'll be there will bells on for both. Not having a local track is making me antsy!

I just heard last night they might open the Motormile dragstrip next year - fingers crossed...

Lou

I got a test text alert from the track today so we should know quickly about any weather statuses!

Nice Day of racing with 6 racers. Thanks to Lou, Greg & Ken Anderson for traveling in. Me, Ryan and Andrew rounded out the locals. We had a 1st time winner in Andrew Shank and Ken Anderson was runner up. Pictures to follow tomorrow.

Slant 6 Final, Andrew Shank in the truck and Ken in the Dart.
Andrew's truck ran well at 16.9's with a very mild engine.
Good cylinder head and 4.56 gears helped.

Great times as always. Thanks for hosting us, Rick, and thanks for the great pics. Here's to more fun later in the year in KY and TN...

Congrats to Andrew and Ken!

It was great seeing everyone, but honestly I found myself wanting more slant racing... My one-way drive was longer than the 3 rounds of racing, and the weather was great!

The work y'all put into these cars is amazing, and the engineering outstanding!

If 2 days of racing isn't working out, What about a planned "Double Race Day" in the future?

Or perhaps a "First Round Recap" that would give those early exit cars a second race against each other?

Just brainstorming here...

We have done 2 races in one day several times and that is Ok, but it is an awful lot of rushing around to pull ladders and get everyone up to run twice as many times as usual. You can't pull the second race ladder until the first one is done in case someone drops out or breaks. You are totally at the mercy of the track owner and ours is kind of hard to nail down on anything. It can work, if someone is willing to do it.

Bring your best shot in round one or go home! Sunday, I went home. :D :D

Thanks for coming up John! And John! It was good to see you again. Keep brainstorming!

Charles Brooks was there as well! Good to see him also.
