Son in law can't get off work, so he can't come with. My INR blood test has been stable for a month, so I am going to try it by myself. I may need help loading and unloading.

Cousin and I are going to try to get to 41 to test Saturday.

Thanks! I appreciate that offer. I would make the same offer to you, but you would have one heckuva time getting into and out of the Challenger. Those funky funny car halo type roll hoops are very awkward. I have trouble tucking myself into that thing, so I know you would really hate it. I doubt it will happen before the race, but that is one of the things I really want to change about the car. It will save some weight as well.

Whether I get to race or not isn’t that important to me. The Slant 6 thing has always been more about the people than the racing for me. I definitely want to race and I really want to set that record for Norm, but I just want to hang out with peeps.

I hope to bring the RV so we will have a comfy place to hang out. Angie might even whip up something for lunch on Saturday. More to follow on that.

I plan to dig into the Challenger as soon as we get back from Hawaii this weekend. I will give Howard a call and plan for him to come and help me out a little. I couldn’t do any of this without him.

Clay City is looking better. I think my truck will be drivable this weekend. Have made arrangements for my wife. She is going to stay with her sister for about a week. Will update later.
EDIT: should have an interesting weekend. Just found out my exwife is coming for a visit. Will be staying for a couple of days.

Count me in as a maybe (I know another one of those...). I need to wire in a trailer brake controller for my van and work on tuning the carb on my 72 Dart. If I can't get those sorted out I may still come and hang out.

My Ex lives with my daughter up in Jacksonville. They need a Break from each other. So Linda will be coming down to stay with Peg and I, for a few days. Believe it or not, the two women like each other, and get along fine.

Well goodness gracious… I’m gonna have to find my Slant 6 binder with the ladders for this one after all.


I updated the Roll Call on the first page. Potentially nine cars. There is often a local guy at Clay City. He has raced with us and even won or runner-upped once if I remember correctly. Maybe that was at London…
