Plenty of pit space to unload stuff, and there will likely be folks there with trailers who can hold stuff inside (or under) in case it rains.

There will be plenty of other classes, and you can even run another one if you want besides the Slant 6 class. Anyone you bring/invite who does not have a Slant car can run their car in another bracket class.

I need to touch base with him again about fees, but figure on about $30-50 per day to race in our class, and likely more like $30.

We will try to pit together, but do not know the location yet. Not a huge pit area, so it'll be easy to find us.

Cheers!
Lou

I have a set of roller rockers and a clean Clifford intake if anyone is interested. I can bring them with me to Knoxville. $500 for the roller rockers and $400 for the Clifford intake.

Well I am bringing the golf cart, but it's not for racing. But, I did look around for a nitrous kit that might fit. No luck. :?

I'm all for having fun. Truth is I don't need a broken golf cart to add to my list of stuff that is broken, most of which I broke. Maybe we can all assess the situation Friday night. Also, i have to confess this is a bone stock EZ-GO with a million hours that actually belongs to my wife. She lets me borrow it for the races.

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Current situation: Real quick like block swap...

Fortunately I already had another block bored and honed. Just needed to do some final work on it and now it's ready to reassemble. Hording pays off sometimes.
Honing out cam bearings is always a pain. Anyone deal with that?

Yes. The guy that does my blocks has a bearing scraper made for that task.

Talking about the bearing journals in the block? or Scraping the Babbit / tri-metal on the shells after installation?

Cam bearings after they are installed that are .001-.002 too tight. Cam won't go in and turn freely.

You can make a tool from an old camshaft. Cut a notch/groove diagonally across the journal, and use it as a cutter.
