I'm replacing my throwout bearing on my 84 d150 the new one spins a little when I turn it by hand is that normal? I thought it was supposed to be snug.

The throwout bearing is supposed to spin where it contacts the pressure plate fingers or diaphragm fingers. .

If it did not there would be a lot of heat, whining and destruction.

I was wrong there was play when moving the bearing from the corners on the rod. I had a machinest redue the rod that the throwout bearing goes on and fixed the clutch issue.
