Man I wish I could be there!!

But I’ll be working the Lemons race in Houston. :(

I sure would like to witness Jr. educatin’ Stan the Man on steppin’ up to the plate on some 4,000 RPM clutch dump starts in his Colt! No “Clutch Tamer” needed…

Just saw on Moparts that this event has been cancelled due to promoter health issues.

That's a bummer! Maybe some other track close will pick up the event?

It was kinda their own event, don't think it will be held.
I am on my way to Phoenix AZ.

Sure was hoping Pops was wrong but he never is.
This could be the end of this event because they never have had a big car count. To skip a year will make it hard to come back. The promoter’s health is more important than this event. Hope she makes a full recovery.

I've had 2.

Annette who raced with us for a couple years.

Caroline who was more into motorcycles.

Hey guys!
I suffered a compressed disk at L3-L4 shortly after we got back from Knoxville. I basically missed out on October. Many visits to the ER, Urgent Care, Primary, Orthopedic, CT scan, MRI, three X-Rays, Physical Therapy, Chiropractor, and some nasty drugs.
I am doing much better and feel close to 90%, and am off all the drugs.

While I was down, I invited dad to drive the 43. #4 rod exited the party at full speed. He drove it back to the pits thinking he had a fouled plug.
Nope! No water or oil, and a window in the side of the block, but still running.

Although the 43 is down, I was looking forward to being at Mopars in the Park, but then it was cancelled.

BTW: I now live in a town called Owasso. It's a suburb of Tulsa on the north side. I live just a few miles from Tulsa Raceway Park.
Shawn also lives in a suburb of Tulsa, but on the southeast side. I'll let him tell if he wants.

BTW2: I have a new build coming together that will be better than ever. I did discover the cause of the rod failure, and it's not the rod. During the 2024 season, we found some speed and were able to get the car to launch off the trans brake. The 2025 plan is to continue to build on those successes, hopefully getting better 60ft times.

See everyone in 2025!

BTW3: I really enjoyed the Knoxville event. There were some really cool cars there. I wanted to do better in the racing, but that really wasn't the point was it. I hope we can build on that event. I'll definitely add it to my calendar when a date is set.

Great to hear from you Jeff. So glad you are feeling better now. Looking forward to seeing you in 2025 and I’ll try to bring another cool car next time…

Best wishes,
Lou
