i have a 76 dart swinger 2 dr ht with slant six autotrans but it has a posi- trac rear in it.How do i know what really came in this car? hard to beleive it came with a posi-trac rear and i just don't know how to check to find out.please help!

look at your build sheet(if you can find it). it was an option on 7 1/4 and 8 1/4 rears.

Sometimes the fender tag will have the code on it too...
