As of today, the price for a set of the Wiseco 225 Slant Six forged pistons in .084 or .104” oversize is $689.00 plus shipping. These are for use with the 7.005” length rods and stock rod pin and wrist pin sizes.

The price may change after the first of the year, not sure about that yet.

Do they have a minimum run?

The Wiesco rings are 1.0,1.2,2.8MM and are about $35 a piston or $210 A set. Not cheap by any stretch, but I'm sure they are good. I don't know if anyone else makes a comparable set or if these are special.

OK, thanks for that, those are a good bit racier than the stock metric size rings.

I asked Marshall for conformation on the rings.

When Steven got his smaller bore Wiseco pistons recently (which led to the run of rods being made) the pistons came with rings and pins.

I will post back here next week when Marshall replies. He is very responsive.

We may not even need a minimum run since they have the forgings available. It might be as easy as getting a part # re-established.

More to follow.

Based on how many pistons I have on my shelves, I will most likely not order a set. I might be convinced, but count me out for now. Thanks again for your efforts, Rob!

Cheers, Lou

It would be nice if they came complete! I really don't need them anytime soon either, but if this is maybe the last chance to get them, I would be in. If they put them in the catalog that we could order them in the future, I'd probably wait till later. Thanks for all your work on these items Rob!.

When I ordered the pro-tru 0.104 Pistons back in ~2009 they came with Pins and Rings as well as pin locks.

I still have to find the documentation for all of those parts.

Latest from Marshall. Pistons DO include all the goodies.

I will request those specs and yes, the quote I requested from our rep at Wiseco was to include the 6 pistons, wrist pins, pin locks and piston rings.

So am I understanding that the pistons are not coming with a .901 pin? The PT112a104 that was available previously had .901 pins to go with the Molnar rods
1.0, 1.2, 2.8 rings can be had from total seal in standard gapped or gapless.

Will

Good job Mater! Let us know how to "Proceed Sir." Is the big bore gasket only needed for the 104 over pistons? Will the regular Felpro work for the 84 over?

Hey Will,

These should have the .901 pins like the others. Marshall should be sending me the full specs (and hopefully a part # to order very soon)

I'm not sure about the head gasket, Cookie. Others will likely chime in here.
