Good Evening All
Been several years since I've been here. Much has happened in that time.
Anyway, I (we) are the proud owners of a '67 Dart GT convertible auto/air%cruise/power steering sand brakes, and a '87 D150 3 speed overdrive/air/cruise power steering and brakes.
Now to the questions; I have a core forged crank motor that I would like to rebuild with hydraulic lifters. The reason is that as I age,I'm not a steady with feeler gauges as I once was. Also, leaning over fenders (especially on the truck) is not as much fun (?) as it use to be.
As I understand it from my research, it is pretty much a bolt up conversion. The older block/head will support hydraulic lifter oiling without mods. Is the rocker shaft the same? Any special fasteners needed? Are solid and hydraulic cams interchangeable? Other than lifters/pusrods/and possibly the rocker shaft are there any other unique items for the hydraulic valve train?
Thanks to all who respond and Happy New Year.

The hydraulic slant oils from the top. You need the complete rocker shaft assembly. Correct pedestals, bolts and push-rods. The push-rods are hollow. You need hydraulic, non-adjustable rockers to transfer oil to the push-rods as that's how you pump the lifters up. It's a different animal. The lifter bores have no provisions for pumping hydraulic lifters.

Thanks you Supercharged for the link.
It did confirm much of what I was able to find out.
It looks like the cams are not interchangeable due to the lobe configuration as well as the rear journal oiling groove.
Thanks again.
