Car Model: 1966 Plymouth barracuda
i just bought my dream muscle car.... 1966 Plymouth barracuda. slant six super 225. i bought it and drove it for about 2 and a half hours AND SHE RAN GREAT! the one wire on the starter solenoid was loose. i reconnected it and i started it to drive home from work let it warm up for approximately 3 minutes and it died. restarted and it ran for another 2 minutes and died while idling. wont start now, ther is fuel in the bowl and im getting a spark altough it may seem a bit weaker than normal. i have replaced distributor cap and rotor, plugs(gapped at .037}, ignition coil, ballast resistor and starter relay...... thank you in advance everyone     [/color]

Do you have fuel shooting into the venturi when looking down the carb and opening the throttle?

When it starts to shuts off, what happens when you push the throttle? Does it try to keep running?

Check/ clean / wiggle the firewall bulkhead electrical connections. Sometimes they get dirty causing high resistance and tricky problems like this. Good luck!

I just finally did the lean burn elimination/conversion on my 78 fury this past weekend
Had everything connected (I thought), untaped everything and eliminated anything not needed with the factory 4 pin ECU , and those 4 wires run, new (old stock Sorensen brand) ECU, went to hit the key and .... Nothing. It cranked but wouldn't even sneeze. I started looking at everything, swapped ECU'S with another vehicle here that I know runs and same nothing. Then I ran jumpers straight to the battery "+" and from ECU case to known good ground. STILL nothing.
Well it seems when I put the "-" wire on the coil and then the nut I didn't realize the wire "sprung" off of the terminal before I got the nut on over it.... Hooked up the Missing wire and started right up.
