Just wondering what the 270 designation means. Its a 68 2door hardtop dart with a /6.

Trim level.. If I remember correctly, the base models were Dart 170s, the midrange models were 270s, and the nice ones were GTs or some other package name. Someone else will probably have a more accurate answer.

Yep, it's just the trim level. Most of my Darts (and my current 2, one is a 68) are 270s. It was the "high" priced trim option with more chrome and in '68 usually had some bells/whistles like shoulder belts, remote mirror...

I know people that think the 270 tag means you have a 270ci \6. I even know a person who claims the "yellow" colored \6 is 300ci. And there is no reasoning with these people...
