Hi all ,I'm new to this board and to slant sixes. I have been into drag racing for a long time and always Mopars till the last few years. I just picked up a rust free 66 Dart /6(2dr) with 904. I will be running a long rod 225 and triple webers(I already have the parts and ran webers on my EE/mc 2.2 rampage).I have a 81/4 rear end and can run any gear and converter. This car will see very limited street use ,what cam ,headers will work best on this set up? What stall converter? The head will be cced to 11.5 comp ratio and ported(mild) .
thanks
any information would be very helpful
Alex

Welcome to the Forum!
Looks like you already have a great build-up in mind. The "long rod" 225 is a great combo.
As for headers, I like long tubes but those are getting hard to find for the 63-66 A-bodies. The Clifford "shorties" are about your only choice still available new.

With 11.5 compression you can handle some cam duration / overlap. If you can get some head flow numbers that would really help you pick the right cam.

For a converter, get a small unit, an 8 inch if you can afford one.
4000 to 4500 stall with 4.56 gears and a 26 -27 inch tire should do it.

Flow numbers will be hard to relate to ,I have a home made bench from a old hot rod mag. article. A friend has a superflow ,I will have to see if I can flow it and post the results. What kind of rpms do you think this will see? Hopefully I will be out at the Chrysler Classic race in March. Any idea where I can get the basic set up for the weber's ?(choke size ,jetting)
Thanks
Al

Any help on the jetting would be great. Saves alot of trips to test and tune night if you are somewhere close to start with. You don't want to sell your set up do you? never hurts to have spares.
