I bought a universal speedo cable to replace mine. The instructions do not say which end of the cable, round or square, to insert into the crimp connector which goes into the speedometer. Who knows?

The square end fits into the drive in the trans. The crimp-on square connector goes on to the cut-to-length round end of the cable, and drives the speedo.
