Well it is over 6 months away, but I thought that Maybe we could try to get a slant six class int the "Fun Field" at the Chryslers at Carlisle Show for 2005 - Just like the Station Wagons now have their own seperate class.
- Any slant six powered vehicle would be allowed - any bodystyle/chassis

What do you guys think?

Would there be enough of you able to come to the show to warrant having a slant Class in the fun field?

I would certinaly like to try it.

BTW - Chryslers at carlisle is July 8-9-10 2005
- Carlisle is located in Centeral PA - 3 Hrs east of where the Pittsburgh Chrysler classic was held last year.

I would be happy to contact the carlisle folks if we want to do this.

Thanks.
Greg

That is the week before Clay City not a good idea to have races on back to back weekends...in my opinion.

Well it's actually more of a car show than a race. there is a drag strip nearby, But the big attratction is the car show - That is What I meant for this event - Sorry about any confusion.

I've been to MOPARS at Englishtown in May for the last 2 years as well. I got eliminated in the first round by an A100 truck with a V8 because I got flusterd when his tree started before mine. I had no idea that a V8 could have a slower dial than me.

I really hope so. I'm starting a new job on the 21st, that requires me to work every third weekend and another weekend day in between. If I am really lucky I'll be off that weekend.

Well here's where I am at with this;
If I get enough intrest on this thread, I will go and contact the people at carlisle and se if they can help us out.

I was thinking of at least 15 to 20 people / cars need to be intrested to do this.

There were a few slant there - but they are few and far between. I was there for all 3 days last year and say about 10. you have to keep your eyes open for them.

Would love to make a show of that caliber but it is not in the plans this year-- too far from KS, plus my cars are not exactly show type vehicles. I do however plan on attending the classic event in KC & the show in Topeka-- I just gotta watch mopars go down the track- no matter the ET !!!!!! last years Topeka show was great fun ,my son & I had a blast!!! Mike J was very kind & let my son check out his ride, never did get to talk to the road toad owner-- just gotta love those things!!!

I would like to attend. I doubt I'll spend more than one day if it is just a show and swap meet, but I'd enjoy seeing some other slant sixers.

My car ain't really much to look at. Will they even let it in to a show?
