I know that the 340 valve spring is the recommended spring for upgrade in our engines, and according to the MP engine manual it is good up to .470 lift. My question is this. When we go to order new springs for higher lifts (.520-.530) are there single springs available to fit without going to dual springs? This would be for installed height of 1.67/1.68? Can we just ask for a 340 spring for that lift range?

We have been waiting for a reply from Comp Cams on a new cam for over 2 weeks? Who is good to talk to there? I know everyone speaks well of them but my first contact by phone was not to helpful.

Thanks,

Rick

I think you can use the 340 springs with a 5.25 lift. Mock-up the combo and check for retainer to valve stem clearance and coil bind. If everything checks-out, run them.
