Anyone has ever try to put Air Ram system in your 225?, currently I´m working to put one to my back-to-old-configuration 1barrel 225, what doy you think? some tips or ideas?

If yes I will continue thinking how to make my version of Ram Air for my configuracion.

Go for it! I doubt you'll need quite that much fresh air for your 1 barrel, though. If you don't have the scoops, just run it to the grille, it'll probably get more airflow there, anyway. You didn't ask, but that's a supersix air cleaner with a 5-1/8" four-barrel "bell" and an extra snorkel grafted in place. It's actually relieved in front for the original V2 compressor and hoses that preceded the NipponDenso compressor. I used fiberglass to reshape the front and fill the area where the OSAC valve once resided. I cut the end of the extra snorkel off where the hose hooks up and flipped it upside-down and re-attached it at an angle to clear the valve cover. I also cut down the bottom of the snorkel where the pre-heat hose attaches and fashioned a plate to cover the hole. Both snorkels have functional vacuum actuators and are tapped into the original "super six" thermostatic control for cold weather driving. The duct hoses are straight from the shelf at "Idiot Auto Partz"... You can get it (3.5" if I remember) in bulk lengths at NAPA, but I liked the snap ends on these. I spliced them using pint (I think) cans with the top and bottom cut out (a sleeve, in effect), sealed with thin packing foam on the outside of the cans, anchored the cans to give the hoses a good pivot point when the hood opens and closes. The hood connections are cheapo Taiwan-ROCK plastic kitchen sink drain traps from Kmart with the bottoms cut out using a Dremel (leaving just a sleeve, flange, seal and threaded "nut"). They sit up above the surface of the hood slightly which keeps rainwater from running in.

Or am I the nut!? Doesn't seem so trick, now that you know what it's made from, does it?

P. S. - I occassionally find dragonflies and other large insects splattered across the filter element, so I guess it works!

Meaby you are right Dennis, also meaby geting all mayor components of my engine stolen was good, I will try to fit a Hig Flow system onto my carb also I got my two vacuum working in getting air.

I will post some pics when it´s finished, but I´m still thinking of getting frontal Ram Air with chopping tubes with engine fan.
