All A body 8 3/4" are SBP. If you want BBP, you have a couple choices. You can get yours drilled out of there is enough space on the flange, you can get 8 3/4" axles from another application that are BBP and have them shortend, or you can go to an aftermarket place like www.moserengineering.com and get custom ones made up.

A bodies used the shortest axles, so anything other then an A body would work I would assume. I believe people usually use C bodies because they are the longest and have BBP.

But the price you'd pay for C body axles and the labor to shorten them, may be cheaper to get custom ones. I think moser ones were $200 for A body 8 3/4" BBP axles.

Moser said they could respline some C body and truck axles - only those which are not necked down, for a charge of about $85 plus shipping.

E-body will also work, they are longer than C body.

Get the brake assemblies off of the donor 7.25 axle. Your sbp brakes will not work with lbp axles. The spacing from the end of the axle tube to the flange will be different. The brakes off a lbp 7.25 will bolt right on an 8.75.

Moser will redrill sbp axles and brake drums too.
