I am installing a new transmission mount on my 63 Valiant with a 904.

The mount that was originally in my car (and I think it is original because it is very flexible) has 2 bolts that go through the transmission cross member. The mount I got from the parts store only has one. I'm guessing that this is a later style transmission mount. It looks like everything will line up, I just missing one of the bolts.

Is the one bolt enough, or do I need to look for one with two?

Thanks,

John

The 1-bolt mount works fine.

Thanks Dan, that is good to know.

On the plus side here, I think I have narrowed down the leak in my transmission and it should be easier to fix than I thought. I need to replace the spedo O-ring. One of the first things I did on this car, or any car for that matter, was to replace the spedo cable. Looks like I botched that job a bit. Hopefully it will be cured in a couple of days.

John
