The suspension setup in my '65 Dart is as follows:

In the front

Stock 318 T-bars
Replacement rubber bushings in UCA and LCA
Poly stabilizer bushings
Monroe gas-o-matic shocks
Lowered with 11" from the k-member front bolt heads to the ground
P205x60 tires on 15x5.5 OEM steel rims

In the rear

Poly bushings all around
5 leaf springs
Monroe gas-o-matic shocks
P235x60 tires on 15x7 OEM steel rims

I currently have better suspension then engine. I am not able to overpower the suspension with the engine. The handling is very netural with slight understeer. For what it is worth, I was able to keep up with a ticked out mid '90s Pontiac GTP on the freeway on ramp until he pushed the loud pedal down.

I have a 65 Dart.From what I have read through the years a rear sway bar isnt very desirable.I have never tried one though.I believe the formula I gave you will work very good for you.

hey Johnny, thats what i'm guessing, that after setting up the front and putting new bushing on the back that anti sway bars (on the rear) will be too stiff. but, as what was suggested to me before, i'm just going to build it up a step at a time. thanks!

I actually did the shocks (KYB) and sway bars (Addco) before replacing the tires (had 30 year old bias ply 6.50 13's (rears were snow tires)), and had fun sliding around until I could find some rims for the small bolt pattern wheel.

Shopped around on the internet for all of the above and got some good prices.

The Addco bars are bolt on (except for some drilling for bolt holes up front) and are the poly version. The rear is a simple bolt on (poly also). Everything is out of the way, and doesn't hang down waiting to hit the ground (you have some leeway up front of where you put the mounts on the K-member, I tried to tuck it up as high as possible) and haven't noticed any squeaks.

Finally managed to get some 14 x5.5 rims, and am currently using 195 70 14 tires. The handling is unbelievable...... Flat and neutral. Now I just need a faster steering ratio.
