well, oil flow is fine, cooling system has cleaner in it now. it said to drive it for three to six hours for optimal cleaning. will run it and drain in the morn.
BUT now im hearing a whine. like an electrical motor whine almost. it increases and decreses in tone with engine rpms. im hoping that it was just me gettin' crazy with the water hose during the radiator treatment, and some water got into the alternator or something, and it will be "all better in the morning"
also after yesterdays starter tourture, the starter no longer has that caw waw waw waw wiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggg, after starting. now it just start s the motor and ends with a schztch.
ho hum..

If the alternator has a shorted diode, it'll set up a nice electrical whine that changes with engine RPM. Worn alternator brushes will do the same, sometimes.

Not sure I understand what you're saying you're hearing from the starter.
