Contact Doug Dutra. Send him a PM. He had some made up. I don't know if he still has any available.

Yep, Doug had some made, that's true. Think the whole thing through, though: Why are you after a tougher oil pump pinion? If it's because you're eating regular gears, then a harder pump drive pinion may only mask the symptom rather than solving the problem. If the worm gear on the cam (which drives the oil pump and distributor pinions) is improperly cut, for instance, or if for some reason your oil pump is unusually difficult to turn, then putting in a harder gear can make the resultant failure larger and more spectacular when it eventually occurs.

I think it would be a good Idea to have one just for cheap insurance,
It's gonna be a race engine so I wanna play it safe, although you make a good point though!

Yes, I still have a few of the hardened gears, also some bronze ones.
See the tech article on this issue, you should always check gear mesh and alignment on ay SL6 engine you bild.

I've got a hardened gear in my motor now and a bronze one laying in the tool box. The bronze one is very shiny.
