My sending unit bit the dust. Since Im thinking of fuel injection in the near future I wanted one with 3/8" nipple. Well I found one from rock auto for $75. Its the same one year one sells for $130. Best thing is when it got here I found it has a 5/16 return line built in. It is made by Spectra and the catalog # is FG69B. they make a stock 5/16 unit to.

You must have got the last one, I tried clicking on 'Fuel Sending Unit' then the catagory dissappeared, then tried a part number search and it's not found.................

I just tried rock auto and the category disappeared also. I just got mine 2 days ago. Maybe try calling them? There is also a FG69A which is a stock replacement unit with 5/16 line. a couple of places list them. The FG69B fits my tank perfectly. (66 Dart) I just did a google on both part #s and they came up at more than one vendor.

All right, this is weird!! I did a google search for FG69A and one of the results was Rockauto. It went to a page with a Java catalog, I clicked through the menu and got to "fuel sending unit" and as soon as I clicked on it, that category disappeard. Vanished, gone, nada, nuttin.

It's been my experience that when RockAuto is out of or doesn't carry any parts in a particular category, that category disappears - at least with the JAVA based catalog. I bet if they are able to restock the fuel sending unit catagory will reappear.

Hey SlantsixDan,
You are in Canada. So is this Spectra Premium company. http://www.spectrapremium.com/

Can you find out where us slanted people can buy senders and fuel tanks and more of their products for wholesale/jobber prices? How do I become a low volume distributor?

For that price, I'd buy two in a second...

Craig, I'll give 'em a call and see if they can (1) recommend some jobbers from whom to purchase, (2) tell me the requirements for becoming a distributor. I have to suspect Rockauto and the like stock none of the parts, this is probably a lot like the JC Witless "Item will be shipped separately from the factory" deal. I'm in NYC right now, but when I get back I'll let you know what they have to say -- unless someone else beats me to that phone call -- I understand that it is now possible for any American with a telephone to directly dial telephone numbers in such faraway lands as Canada! ;-)
