Does anyone know of a chart I can use to find the correct speedometer gear for my A833? 27 inch tire, 3.23 gear ratio, overdrive transmission. Thanks, Tom

You need a 32-tooth pinion 2538932. See Here

Those speedometer pinions are still available from your local dealer. However the part numbers have changed and the last two digits of the part number no longer indicate the number of teeth.

I don't know why they had to change the parts numbers to non-sense.

I looked at the chart and got the gear I needed. I thought I would be changing the gear that goes into the transmission, but it is not the same, so I guess I need to change the gear that goes into the speedometer. How do I do this?

Also, the gear that goes into the transmission broke, so I need to replace it. What is it called? Where can I get it?

Thanks.

Two places have now given me the wrong gear. I need the short plastic gear held on by a C clip. Does anyone know where to get these? They are for '65 and older vehicles.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, you're working with an up-to-'65 transmission. Whoops, yeah, those are different and can't use the '66-up gears. The '65-down gears are much harder to find; you pretty much have to find them used. Ask Doctor Dodge.
