You can get a Mallory unilite for a slant. It will hook up to a msd,.....
than you can use a retard box and put the timing where you want when you want.

How are you guys doing it???? I am having such a hard time getting my motor to hold a 100 shot and I blow it up with a 150 shot, but you guys are talking about putting a 200 shot on, I'm jealous.... One thing that I need your opinion on is my Offy intake manifold. Right now I have it set up stock, with the original 4 seperated holes. I think I know the answer to this, but shouldn't I cut that out to make it one big hole for better flow? Thanks again for the help guys!!!!!

I ran mine last year with an Offy and a 75 shot. It didn't really make much difference than when I put on the cut out Clifford and ran a 75 shot. On motor alone the 4 hole will make more low end torque.

Don't be too jealous, mine has not survived a 200 shot yet. Mine may be the next big BOOM!  :D :x

Well hopefully you won't go boom, it scared the sh** out of me. The reason why I ask is because when I was installing the NOS kit, I remember reading something saying that it is not recommended to use the kit on individual ported intake manifolds, but I ignored it thinking that it didn't make much sense, but now it's got me thinking :?: :?: :?:

Another question, are you guys running trans brake???? When are you hitting the button or when is your microswitch engaging? I have been hitting the 100 shot as soon as I launch, and thats when I hit the 150 and it blew instantly

I footbrake also. Micro switch on the carb. On the bottle as soon as my foot hits the floor. Most I have run so far is 175 shot, on the old engine. Running 150 on the current engine. I do have forged pistons.

I put the head on tonight, but the question that I have is.... the book that i have says to tighten the head bolts down to 30 lbs., for some reason, that doesn't make sense to me, I would think that it would be a little bit more. What's everyone else doing?
