The Rear springs on my '70 Dart 4-door are in need of replacement. No prob, right? Except the only source I can find wants $300 <i>PER SIDE!</i>. JCWhitney has them for 59.99/side, but I'm leery about mail-ordering parts and don't know how much shipping/taxes/duty will jack up the price. SSD, Sandy in BC, any Canucks; HELP!!

well..heres what I do....I ordered JC whitney springs ...paid the $59 a side and got them UPSed to a UPS Store in Colville Wa whereI have a post box . I picked them up there ...paid the GST at the border and drove home. Your experience may differ. Get a box in Blaine and save some cash and have a Homeland Security adventure.


The Canadian side is easy if you tell the truth,,,,have receipts ready and have cash for the GST.

The American side may use a device called "The Ionizer" to see if you are a drug lord and they may find "background radiation" in your 32 yearold truck. They may keep you for 3 hours while they figure out what to do. They will reluctantly let you moan bitch joke and be an @$$#&!%. When they get tired of you they will let you go,,,,albeit late for supper....true story(my 53rd birthday)

After the local auto parts stores, Canada Spring (local spring mfg.) was my first call. He had none in stock, but called around for me. $290/side was the best he could find.
