I sincerely hope neither of our Spanish writers takes offense, because none is intended. However, living in South Texas, I have often felt like I was being excluded from the conversation when Spanish speakers converse in that language, having just been speaking English to me. Truth be told, I have felt that it was just a bit rude to exclude me in that manner.

I do admire folks who can converse easily in more than one language, and spoken Spanish can be lovely to hear. One of my favorite songs of all time is by Joe Ely, who wrote:

"Favorite poets all agree
Spanish is the loving tongue,
But,
She never spoke Spanish to me..."

Then, some years later he wrote a follow-up song titled "She finally spoke Spanish to me"

The gist of which is that when she did speak to him in Spanish she said "Adios!"

Or maybe it was "ADIOS MO**** F*****..."

Having said all that, I'm wondering if those headers that work, fit, don't burn trannys (or starters, I assume) , brand name "cañossilen" might be available here in the states??? (or ar least one set to a guy in south Texas)

After all, we ARE all in the same HEMIsphere! and it seems that we will soon have a Latin American Free Trade Agreement to go with the already in place North American Free Trade Agreement.

Sorry folks! Argentina Slantsixer and I was talking about national headers makers, and focusing about the burned tranny talking.

As I said before my two uncles got headers in their cars since 10 years or even more and no problems with tranny or getting hot car´s floor, after that we talked about some about good and bad points about those makers.

Mexican Headers makers (Headers Garcia) make excellent headers for cars of 60´s to 70´s but got problems with modern car headers.

And Argentina headers makers (I forgot the name) got no problem with old or new cars since they work with two generation of crafters.

No apology neededmy MOPAR friend! I'm kinda frustrated at my ignorance of Spanish with the number of bilinguals and immigrants here in south Texas. My real frustration is because my great grandma came from Mexico, but her daughter never taught her kids (my mom and uncle) to speak the language. Grandma and her sisters spoke it to each other when they didn't want us to know what they were talking about.

Impressive. It is very difficult to find true craftsmen in North America any more. That's one reason I'm so impressed with Gearhead's suspension components he's fabricating himself.

Well I think I can contact Headers Garcia for you, they are very cheap and good ones! they finish is Polished Metal or Chrome, Polished cost 1,400 pesos, something like 110 dollars, Chrome Finish don´t know prize

$#!+ (and I mean s h i t), avenger.... that's cheap! my complete ex setup was like US $500... plain old 16 gage steel, aluminized, stainless after the muffler, mandrel bent based on my car. they adapted my kickdown for free (wich I thought I was to do) and I got a 3 year full warranty (you read right, mr) they sure have confidence in their craftmanship...

as far as for spanish is concerned, is very strange, non practicall and excesivelly complex language. Beautifull, though, it has words that are just for defining things that in english, ie, you won't find such and especific word. That being one of the main issues, the other is gender. When you say good night, 64 ragtop, in spanish you'd rather say Buenas Noches as the night is female. Of course, there ya go with the funky exceptions as for sugar: is female but since it starts with A, you'd say el azucar and still talk about a female gender... most of the american friends I have get away pretty nice on lerning how to talk latino spanish (argentinian spanish, etc anyway you can find more differences between mexico and argentina's way of speaking spanish than the US-UK thing.... ie I talked to avenger in mexican... no es así mi cuate? that in argentinian would be no es cierto chabón?) Say, it's a pain in the ass. You fight with your friends over e-mail cuz you can read any piece of text in thousand ways, it's over barroqued, like a car from overhaulin' ... :) but it's true that is very prone to artistic expressions like poetry and music lyrics. There's more than a handfull of songs that I can think of that I would really put my self into a lot of complication and still I can draw you the general idea but not make you see the colours. Is like explaining over words Guernica by picasso. You can give it a shot, but.... On the other hand I love english, it's a very practical language, much more digital than spanish. I love for technical stuff, business, etc etc. I have to say that I don't dig the british or ye olde stuff... as I ain't dig the old castilla or 15 century spanish....

English is so much more fast and accurate...

i.e. talking only about cars

steering wheel in spanish is volante wich in english is flyer...
clutch bearing is crapodina (I know you'll like how it sounds, my crapodina crapped on me...)
starter is burro de arranque or literally starter jackass
manifold is multiple
you call venturis what we call diffusors and we call venturi the narrower part of the throat...
UCA is parrilla superior de suspensión wich in english would be upper suspension grill... :idea: :roll:

I do really feel welcomed here and I appreciate and thank you guys for that. You make me feel like family or close neighbours or long time friends... So to say that I don't know what's going on with my country (how could I know about yours) or the world for that matters, but I see that english and spanish are the strongest communication devices used over the world. I speak and write english and spanish and I never been left out (except for those french people whom I hate...) outta any conversation...

Yep, somethings here in Mexico are very very and very cheap, jeje!!!

Sterring Wheel = Equal, Volante
Clutch Bearing = Arillo de Clutch
Starter = Marcha
Manifold = Many names, common names: Multiple, Araña (Spider)
Venturi = Ventury (Only change "i" for "y"
UCA = Rotula Superior
Barrell(BBL) = Garganta, Gargantas for 2 or 4 BBL
