I got the super six setup working pretty well on the Dart. Found an air cleaner today that needs cleaned up and painted but it fits well. The choke doesn't work much at all. I ordered an electric conversion from Carbs only. Talked to Carlos on the phone, he seemed to have a good handle on what I wanted/needed. He has to order from his supplier but he can get it. I am anctiously awaiting its arrival. My kickdown works but only to about 40 mph. After that it won't kick down. Is this normal? If not, any ideas? I am impressed with the difference the two barrel made. Smoother, quicker and burns cleaner too. Soon hope to make the GM H.E.I. swap. I have a distributor but need to get the module and coil yet. I've had this car for about 10 years. Never really did anything to it. Been in storage for two years and I lost storage so I got it out and started playing. It has been fun so far...............Tim

Hope he's selling you a number 1232.

No. Did you install the 2bbl (shorter) kickdown lever on the kickdown shaft on the transmission itself? A lot of guys don't know you need to do this.

Dan, I did use the shorter kick down lever that came with the two barrel. Is it a matter of not pushing the kickdown lever back far enough? I might be able to adjust my linkage differently or something.
The part # Carbsonly gave me was 2232 Superchoke. I hope that is the correct one.
Is it possible to order directly from Randy Rymal? If so is it a better price? Mine was $49.99 + 5.50 shipping. I hope to recieve it this week as I want to attend a local all Mopar cruise this weekend...........Tim

2232? H'mmm. I don't see that anywhere on the application sheets. No idea what they're planning to send you. Should be a 1232. "Superchoke" is their own name applied to the product, I think.

Correct adjustment procedure: With carb at curb idle (fast idle cam swung all the way out of the way), loosen kickdown rod clamp bolt down at the transmission. Hold the kickdown rod all the way forward, push the kickdown lever and clamp all the way forward, then tighten the clamp bolt. That's a starting point, you may need to adjust it from there.

If adjusting the kickdown doesn't change anything, and the transmission short-shifts 1-2-3 at low vehicle speeds, then the kickdown valve has probably come disengaged from the kickdown lever inside the trans, in which case you'll have to drop the pan, loosen the valve body and reattach it. This happens sometimes when the kickdown linkage is disconnected.

Maybe 2232 was a misunderstanding on my part. I don't always hear so good on the phone. I usually get my wife to do the phone stuff but he had questions so I had to talk. I hope it is the right one. I will check my adjustment on the kick down . I just bolted it on and made no adjustment........thanks, Tim

I got the Superchoke installed. No hassle installation and it works great. Granted it is warm out now but it closes and opens as it should and the Dart now starts and idles like it should. I like it.
