I was wondering if anybody here could tell me if there are any other mopar models which used the same speaker as my 75 dodge swinger . We have no Darts around here in our wrecking yards to get one from. It's just a simple football shaped one with mounting holes 11 and 3/8th inches apart.
I was following one of them on Ebay last week and couldnt believe my eyes that it finiished up at 126 bucks not including shipping. Now either these speakers are extremely rare or somebody is just an idiot with more money than brains. I removed my speaker when I went to install my new stock AM radio and diiscovered that it had disentegrated even the horn part had fallen apart. .

Since you can't see it, why don't you just make an adaptor and make something fit...............

They make 4"x10" aftermarket, you can probably go to a local stereo store and get one. I'm pretty sure I saw one at radioshack even.

Just make sure to get one of equal or higher impedance then the original so you don't blow the amp in the radio. It should be marked or you can measure it with an ohm-meter if the coil didn't disintegrate as well.

Now I wish I was at home, I have a couple of those still mounted in Dashboards I'd give you for shipping and clean out some 'spare' parts...

Sadly I won't be home for 55 days... :(

good luck,

Thanks for the responses guys. I will head down to the local radio shack today!
DI I am sorry that you aren't at home too. And wish you all the best where you are now. That was a most generous thought.
