I put a pair on my '65 Coronet. Wondering if anyone else is using them? I haven't driven the car yet since the motor is on the dyno and not in between the fenders.

I assume those are different than the QA-1's? Did you get the double adjustable? I am in the market before long...

Cameron Tilley took a set of the double adjustable QA-1's back to Oz for his new VF Valiant racecar. Still in the fabrication process.

I don't know that much about shocks...but I installed a pair of the QA1 coil over adjustable in a 66 GTO with tubular uppers and lowers...although only one adjustment dial per shock. Anyway, they worked very well and were very responsive to adjustments.

But I guess thats not strange engineering is it...

The QA1 and the Strange Engr shocks appear to be visually identical. Quite possible that they are built by the same company. The ones I put on were the single adjustable. 8 position adjustment.

Hi Andy:

That sure sounds like the same ones, and I was sure happy with them...at least compared to the typical gas shocks I have usually installed. Although I was never unhappy with those either, but they weren't adjustable.

Sorry I never made it to your shop before heading East...guess it will have to wait till they kick me off this coast, or stop paying me so much that I miss home enough to leave.

They are the same price too, so could be the same units. QA-1 and Carrera appear to be the same company now.
