In the past two years, while my son's car has been apart, things have gotten shuffled around and extra parts mixed up. I need to know the dimensions of a Super Six kickdown lever for his A904 transmission. I'm not sure we put the correct one on when we installed his tranny.

The lever I'm looking at is 3-3/8" overall in length, has a 5/16" hole toward the transmission end, 1" away is a 3/16'" hole, and 1-7/16" farther is a 1/4" hole on the kickdown linkage end.

Anyone have one out that they can measure?

Jerry

I think (IIRC) that super six equipped transmissions had a longer travel kickdown lever (so, the one that has the hole closr to the trans body might not be the one to use)

On the other hand, if you use a short travel kickdown and you modify the geometry and arrange some sort of overtravel spring, you can get snappier kickdowns and extended shifting pattern at lower throttle openings... (might suite your driving style or not... you're the one to make that decision)

If you have money and are willing to do some fiddling, I'd use a lokar kickdown cable. They're heaven once you set them up right.
