I'm converting my 4 drum (9 inch) 72' Swinger to SBP front disc (KH 4 piston) and am a little confused as to what all I need from the donor car (72' Valiant). Do I need the upper control arm and lower ball joint even though I am staying with SBP? or can I use my drum brake stuff? The donor car has excellent components, I just want to make sure I don't leave anything behind that I might need.

UCA's are the same as is the upper ball joints. LCA's are also the same however the ball joints must be for disc brakes - your drum ones won't work. So grab the lower ball joints (and believe they're available new). Maybe you've lucked out and the donor car has a sway bar. In that case grab it as well as the LCA's.

While you can keep the control arms, I'd replace the upper ball joints unless they are relatively new. Might as well take care of that while you're working on the suspension.

Thanks for the replys. I will get back to the donor car when I get a day off later this week, and grab all I can.
