 Post subject: ford valves?

Did I read in hot rod or some where a feature car had foord flat head valves? I have been reading post and haven't seen any thing on this .Also I an old carolina boy! Looks like the is a lot of action in north wilksboro?

N. Wilkesboro is a regular Slant race and one of our biggest. Was in August this year. LOTS of Slant racers in NC, probably as many or more than any other state - Hamby, Myers, Drakes, Nelson, Featherduster76, Madsen, and several others.

We also have a yearly race at Farmington and Brisol, TN.

I remember that article. I thought when I saw it that it was a misprint, but there was a lot of other stuff in the article that just didn't add up either. :shock:

289 ford valves will work if you install 11/32" guides.

I used the FORD 300 inline 6 cylinder valves with 11/32 valve guides.
