i am rebuilding a '61 d100 just for a "driver". i am a long ways from the engine work, but i saw a hooker header for a slant six for sale in the paper (my exhaust manifold is cracked, from reading the forum, it sounds like this isn't too surprising). someone in another forum said that the header is a "nightmare", but to check here for more info. is it? if not, how much is a used header worth? if so, where can i get the manifold?

i cant find where to get another manifold but there are alot of people on here i bet with manifolds they are willing to part with, how much is the hooker header?

he's got it listed for $150/bo. to me, it isn't worth it unless i can get it cheaper then a stock manifold. so i am only willing to offer $50 - $75.
