For those racers that are coming to Redding this coming weekend, (Oct 15-16) please keep this phone number handy... The track manager (Joel) will make is possible for you to get into the track on Friday afternoon if you call him. Him number is (530) 526-0617. The weather is going to be perfect so no excuse not to be there to race, test-tune,, or just run your car through for time. Please try to support this event so we can make it a annual slant6 event. All slant6 welcome..stock, modified, ect. We will have our own staging lanes and pit area. See all of you at Redding this weekend (Oct 15-16) Wayne in Chico "Swingin' Six"

Sorry for my late updates but I have been overseas for a few weeks. The Redding meet was fantastic....We again raced with the Inliner club and had 16 cars on Saturday and 15 on Sunday. The track manager lets us have our own pit area and two separate racing lanes. We had 7 runs on Saturday and 8 on Sunday. There was only a $10.00 entrance fee and NO TECH FEES...Race for only $10.00...unheard of...They really want the slant6 group to make this a annual event so by waving the tech fees, they actually paid for most of the tow "gas we all used getting there. On Saturday, Glenn Terry with his 1965 Dart was in the final with a inliner 1954 chevy who held the D-gas record. As I remember, both broke out with Glenn losing a close one. There was show up money of $50.00 per car for all new racers and another $25.00 gas money for all slant6 racers. Trophies were given for lst/2nd in both brackets. Seymour was there coming all the way from Minn. Other slant6 racers in attendance were: Allen & Doug Dutra, Wayne and Aric Erickson, Glenn Terry, Rick Valent, Oscar Steelman (who ran a personal best of 13.90), Jessee Peabody with his "Slantsickness" car, Mike Williams with his 1971 Dart. We are hoping to make this annual event a point race along with Vegas and the Woodburn inliner/slant6 race held in July. You guys missed a great event.. Redding is ideally located in Northern Calif. which makes it easy for Oregon/Washington racers along with Bay area racers to show up. Lets make this a annual event...a lot closer than Clay City...'Swingin' Six' from Chico

I heard from a very reliable source that most likey Dave Mueller with be at Vegas with his new tube chassis, lenko, alcohol injected station wagon. To see Dave and Mike Jeffries is worth the "price of admission". The promoter put up a lot of $$ for the slant6 class, so I hope all you "bench" racers will show up WITH YOUR CARS...We were first time racers last year and had a ball...stock, modified, first time racers, past time racers...Please show up to support our slant6 group...WITH YOUR CAR.
See you in Vegas...'Swingin' Six' from Chico
