After I get the new cam bearings in the block --
I will need to put the Welch plug back in the 170 motor this weekend.
The FSM specifies a special welch plug driver tool. Is anybody familiar
with this tool (C-897) ? This plug looks like a large disc style freeze
plug, what is the standard way of installing these? Do I use sealer?

A 1/2 to 3/4 socket with a 6" extension is all that is needed. Sealer is optional. Insert plug, center the socket and give it a sharp blow with a medium sized ball pein hammer.
