Yes, MrMark.....on the driver's side of the head, right along the edge of the valve cover, there are two bolt holes. Both are 3/8" coarse thread, and are situated pretty much fore-and-aft of the center of the head. These were used by the factory as an aid in installation. If you bolt your chain or sling to these two holes, the engine will balance out at almost the right angle to drop onto your mounts.

Good luck, and don't get hurt. We'd like you to be able to come back and talk more.

Roger

One of the holes may be used to mount the choke switch thingy, or a vacuum amplifier, but just unbolt them, and use the holes.

If you are going to pull the engine with the transmission still on, you can try with just the rear hole

And, I guess this is a question you could have been put in the "other" part of this site.

Don´t worry, we will get over it...

What car do you have?

It is often a good idea to post what car/year, ac, or not/one, or two barrel carb, auto, or manual trans, and other stuff about your car in the question, as it is kinda hard to remember everyone´s combinations...

Just trying to give you a few little hints, to let you get more out of this site.

The people on here has a huge amount of knowledge about theese engines, and cars(and many other things) so ask all you want, but please try to use the search function first, as most questions have been asked many many times before(hmmm... like the one you asked now :P )

Anyway, welcome, and hope you get educated enough to give some help to newer n00bs, with time
