Can I bolt fenders hood and grill etc. from a 65 onto a 66 Valiant? I'm looking into a local car for my wife but we both prefer the 64-65 frontend.

help appreciated.

thanks
Middy.

No problem. The body lines match up on all 63-66 A-bodies. I like the 63-65 Dart front end myself, so I have 65 fenders and valance and 63-64 hood on my 66 Valiant racecar "Project V".

Note that you cannot mix and match hoods/fenders necessarily, but some line up.

Individually, no, all those parts are different and can't be intermixed. You can, however, install a complete front end assembly ("front clip") from any '63-'66 A-body onto any '63-'66 A-body. Dart, Valiant, Barracuda, etc.

The front end assembly consists of left and right inner and outer fenders, hood, grille, bumper with brackets, radiator support panel and valance panel (sheetmetal below the bumper).

I believe inner fenders are all the same for 63-66

Dan, I believe all the "welded" front end parts are all the same (radiator support, inner fenders). Just need to change out the complete "bolted" on parts (parts Lou mentioned) and the bumbers/brackets, valance.

Well, I know for certain there are different radiator supports for at least '63-'64 vs. '65-'66 (wider radiator cutout for '65-'66) but perhaps that is the only difference.

Doug could tell us for certain; he's done front clip swaps to several '63-'66 A-bodies.

I believe the wider cutout is the only substantial difference, and all the "bolt-on" sheetmetal will interchange (whole front clips w/few exceptions).
