 Post subject: Brake Help

In my dart with factory front discs,when i first brake the pedal will go to the floor and barely stop the car at all.But if I pump the brakes then it will firm up and stop. Is it the master cyl.?

Try adjusting the rears.

on my duster, the same thing happened, only it turned out to be just the o-ring at the end of the rod that goes striaght into the master cylinder was shot. just replaced it and all was well
