Nope...steering gearbox interchange is '62-'72 A- and B-body including your '71 Satellite. C-bodies including your '68 Fury use a different box which might interchange with later A + B, would have to check.

(Hey, lookit...first question of the new year?)

Hollander interchange says:

1971 Satellite manual steering:(like Dan said)

Barracuda 67-69,70-72
Challenger 70-72
Charger 67-72
Dart 67-72
Dodge Passenger Vehicles (coronet, superbee) 67-72
Plymouth Passenger (Belvedere, GTX) 67-72

Valiant 67-72

'68 Fury:

Chrysler 65-71
1965 Dodge 880
Polara/Monaco 65-73
Dodge Truck/ Van 1971-1984
1965 Fury
1966-1969 VIP/Fury
1970-1973 Fury
Plymouth Truck/Van 1974-1981

Probably finding a dodge D100 with a not so worn out steering box might be an easier bet than another Fury...

best of luck to you,

-D.Idiot

Can't figure out why your Hollander is stopping A/B interchange at '67. Interchange is all the way back to '62.

Isn't that when the pitman arm changed?

No. The pitman arm changed in A/B bodies to the larger formerly-C-body-and-larger-vehicle size for the 1973 model year.

It's kind of sppoky since the listing for a "1965" valiant manual steering is any 1962-1966 A/B body with manual steering...

I wonder if they thought the cutoff was for including the arms, or ???

THe older Vol.3 Red books are kind of a mess (1954-1964) and probably don't help much when they tryed to compile the 62-64 stuff into the 196-1979 stuff...

Good thing to point out, will make a note of it...

thanks Dan!

I thought the 67 had a one year only idler/pitman arm? Could of sworn I recall you posting that before.... not sure if the splines are the same and the rest of the arm is different. The posted hollander interchange includes the 67 though so the splines ought to be the same. Ok never mind me I'll keep my nose out of the 60s stuff

Yep, but the pitman and idler arms aren't part of the steering box, and the steering box (whether manual or power) interchanges '62-'72 A+B.
