I am planning on being there, need to see if I can pull together my latest "Drag Car" for that race.

I wonder if Romeo will have that new 300 HP EFI Slant 6 "sorted-out" by March 24th :?
Las vegas is always a good event, it is worth the trip! Book your rooms now!

Seeing as LV is a mere 24 hours from here I have been thinking about a "dash" down . There may be a business conflict that could end this fantasy fast.

I dont think there is anything I could break on the car that couldn t be fixed in LV for under $300.

I haven t drag raced since SIR in 1975 in a H/MP 305" Ford 6 1961 Falcon.

Can you camp at the track?

Do all the /6 cars pit together?

Will Schumers bring the PIG?

Do you race all 3 days?

Funny though,,,our local mudbog pays $300 for our class win and $100 for fastest pass in class on a $40 entry for the weekend. (big boys (blown alcohol)get $1000/$1000 for $40).....not bad for a 20 mile tow and free lakeside camping. Yeah, we always win our class....

Me and my dad will probably be there. I'm not going to bring my car though. We are just coming to see some races and look at all the sweet mopars!!! :D :D :D
I think that it only takes about 3-5 hours from my house.

Hopefully I will see some of you slanters there or see some of your cars.

Vegas is a funny place, $300.00 can get you an awful lot or nothing at all in that town!

We won't hold that against you... The way I see it, you are way overdue for some dragstrip passes.

Yes, that is what I plan to do this year.

Yes but we need a head count so we can tape-off the needed space.

Dennis usually flys in and races his rental car...

Do you race all 3 days?
Yes but Friday is Test & Tune and the actual Slant Bracket Race money is for Sunday's race. More info at http://www.moparsatthestrip.com

I am tentatively scheduled to have a Slant car from CA to drive there. I will also be racing the rental.

I'm not a racer but I just might show up to watch. Have to check the budget and schedule. It looks like it will be quite the party.

I have heard from a very reliable source, that Dave Mueller with his new race car just might make it to Vegas with his new tube chassis slant6. It is worth the trip to Vegas just to see Dave and also Mike Jeffries show those V-8 boys what a slant6 can do. We went last year with our "almost stock" Swinger and had a ball...don't use the excuse that you haven't raced ever or for many years...Everyone in the group is very helpful and the races are well matched for all racers..even first time racers like we were last year. Bring your slant6 so we can show the promoters we are "focused" and dedicated to our interest. They put up a lot of prize money and it would be great to have many of you "bench racers" who have cars show up WITH YOUR CARS.......Swingin' Six from Chico

Great news Doug about your new project..Can't wait to see it..

Wayne, don't forget to mention that you guys actually won the race, beating some pretty tough customers on the way. :D

hey are any of you bringing significant others that *don't* like cars and even possibly have young ones? I'm trying to figure out how I can convince my wife to drive 10 hours in the lancer to do it. Perhaps its time to find/rent a trailer or tow dolly of some kind. In any case, knowing she'd have normal people to hang out with a little would help my cause tremendously...
