I ended up with this intake for 99 plus whatever shipping is. It looks much better than the lynx single weber intake as far as distrubution goes. Tell me what you think, will it work? Should I make some kind of air dam to improve flow to the outside runners? There are excellent pics on the auction, check em out.

lynx that I'm not going to buy - 4602757034

custom intake that I did buy - 8027252712

those are the ebay item numbers.

Now I just need to find a carb!

I agree with you.

Me, I think I'd try running it as is and get a baseline on performance and mixture distribution (read your plugs and/or use a Gunson Colortune). It's easier to modify later than to "unmodify" later!

I think it will work pretty good, but you just have to try :(

I did something similar with a single su carb, and had no problems with fuel distribution, probably not perfect, but good enough for a stock daily driver slant.

Since you beat me out on the custom intake, I actually did buy the Lynx intake. I'm planning to use a Weber DCOE 45 with mine... What carb are you going to use?

I agree that the custom looks like it will flow a bit better, but I think the Lynx will be a better intake than the single barrel stock setup I'm running right now. With a little mild porting work I have planned for the head, I think it should make a really good daily runner compared to a stock setup...

Thoughts/suggestions?

Next I need to find a DCOE... They're $399.00 brand new with free shipping. Anybody have a used one? :)
