Need confirmation (looks like it does)

Is a manual steering gear from a 69 Dart a direct exchange with a 64 Valiant?

And then just move the pitman arm from 64 steering to 69 steering.

Thanks

Hey Ed,

The manual steering box should bolt right up. Then just move the pitman arm over like you said. All the steering boxes (both manual and power) bolt to the K member the same way. '64 and '69 boxes should have the same size sector shaft unless someone had done some swapping at some time before.

There are apparently two sizes for the sector shaft (1 1/8 and 1 1/4 inch) depending on the body style and year of the vehicle. C bodies and vans all got the larger shaft size and all '73 and later power steering cars got the larger size as well.

You're swapping manual to manual, not power to manual, right? The power to manual swap requires an additional $120 adapter.
