I have one of those 2 piece aluminum intakes that has holes where the welds are. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to fill these holes with an epoxy and been successful. I really want an aluminum, but can't seem to find the one piece within my price range. I bought some of that POR 15 epoxy and was going to try to fill the holes with that.

Those old aluminum manifolds may look bad, but not even leak. My Aspen has no problems with the stock 2 piece welded aluminum super intake.

Did you test yours? or are you simply guessing that it will leak based on appearance.

I think that JB weld sounds safe for holes, but might not work on a crack. Read the label, What ever you use must stand up to slightly hotter than boiling temps and be resistant to gasoline when cured. I think the worries about leaking aluminum manifold seams has been overstated by guys on ebay trying to unload cast iron manifolds without getting too much gripe about shipping.
