Hey All,

I am going to order some Permaseal (Aussie-made) head gaskets from Cameron Tilley and want to know if anyone else wants some.

The FelPro and other gaskets here will not work on motors over 3.5" bore, or will not accomodate bore notches on many engines. Some of us have a need for a bigger bore gasket.

Cameron says these gaskets are 3.66" bore, about 0.040" compressed thickness, and will hold at least up to 11.5 comp (tested). He has never blown one or had a problem. They have a wide fire ring and you can even run a metal o-ring up against the fire ring for higher comp. They will not work with aluminum blocks.

Cost will be $35 US + shipping. Shipping will be about $5 US if we order at least 10 gaskets. I plan on ordering 4 to begin with.

If you want one/some, then please let me know quantity, your address, and PM me to arrange payment. Delivery will take something like 4-6 wks.

Thanks,

Lou

Is it better than FelPro in engines under 3,5 bore? Cameron probably has tested it with high boosts also?

That I don't know. I know he uses these in his NA racecar, but not sure about his turbo car. He may have a solid copper/double o-ring setup in the turbo car. My recollection is that Charlie and a few others have run up to about 12-14psi before blowing the FelPro gasket.

Lou,
I would like at least 2 and was wondering when you are going to place the order? I'll check with my son and he may want some as well.

Will these work well with a typically bored street slant, say 30 or 60 over, or will the bigger gasket bore lead to too much of a compression loss? I would plug it in a compression calculator if I had all the numbers.....

These will work perfectly with any Slant of any bore. It's just that the extra bore size in the gasket allows bigger overbores. They are just slightly thicker than a FelPro head gasket. I think the extra bore size amounts to 1cc extra or less.

Put me down for 2 then Lou. PM me contact/payment/etc info. If these handle that much compression I'm sure they will help with the oil leak issues I've been having out the side of the head.

I'll take one too.

I am going to be around almost 11 to 1 comp and currently only have the felpro.........my engine machinst is advising against using it, says it won't handle that compression.

send me a pm so I know where to send the money.
