I read somewhere before, though of course i cant find it. That there is a carb out there that will bolt right onto a super six manifold and has electric choke. I wanna say its off of a buick. I just picked up three super six intakes at the junkyard (one alumn) and ill use one on my slant.

I didnt get the exhaust manifolds for a couple of reasons, and i know the choke work right with the 1bbl exhaust manifold...so im looking to see whats availible with electric.

Thanks
-Mike

You're looking for a carb set up like this:

The integral choke is not electric, it's a heat-tube style, but can easily be retrofitted to electric operation. The carb shown is an Australian-built Stromberg from a '70s Holden (GM).

Quick question. I can get a super six exh manifold for free from a friend of mine if i decide to use it. I know stock its 2" and the super six is 2 1/4"...right? What do you guys normally do to make your 2" bolt up to the 2 1/4"?

thanx

The exhaust manifolds are the same... Only the pipe coming off the manifold is different.

The AMC/Jeep BBDs are highly problematic carburetors. You will spend a lot more time, money and effort trying to get one to run right (and keep running right) than you would have spent to just use the correct Chrysler carburetor with 2bbl choke unit.
